24 Hour Medical Advice and Assistance Helpline
The Private Health Partnership offers clients unrestricted access to a Medical Advice and Assistance Helpline.
The Helpline is operated by a team of Doctors and Nurses who have an outstanding and unique combination of medical expertise.
The Medical Advice Line is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so you can discuss with an experienced nurse or doctor any concerns you or your family have about medical conditions and their treatment. The advisers can answer questions about hospital procedures, getting the best treatment and other places to seek help and support.
With the NHS hospitals at full stretch and where the majority of patients are seen by junior doctors who rarely have the luxury of enough time to devote to informing patients and listening to their worries, the Medical team can provide strictly confidential and easy to understand help and guidance on a wide range of issues including:-
- All medical and surgical conditions.
- Medications
- NHS procedures and how to access healthcare services
- Pre and post treatment advice
- Hospitals' procedures, including preparation for tests, X-rays, etc.
- Location of specialist practitioners, hospitals and consultants
- Do's and don'ts before and after treatment
- The right questions to ask the Doctor/Consultant/Hospital in lay person's terms.
- Details of Local and National help and support groups.
If the information is not readily available, the Medical team will source the required details and call back, email and post these to the caller
The Medical Advisory Service provides general guidance only and does not intend to detract from or substitute normal primary healthcare. This is not an emergency service and will not provide a diagnosis or prescribe treatments.
This service is provided automatically to all individual clients of The Private Health Partnership.
For employers or other groups who wish to offer this service to their members, please contact us to discuss per capita costs and literature requirements. |
