RED ARC Serious Illness Service
Minor ailments are common, and we take them in our stride, but sometimes we are faced with a serious illness and coming to terms with it is easier said than done.
Many of us will know somebody who has been diagnosed with a serious health condition. Usually the treatment received is first class, but often the practical help and emotional support needed by the individual and their family is missing. The focus is on treating the disease, and there is no time or resource left to provide much needed support throughout what can be a traumatic journey.
The Private Health Partnership are able to offer access to a special care advisory service made available through RED ARC Assured Ltd either as a supplement to group private medical insurance or on a stand alone basis.
If any member covered by the plan suffers a serious illness, they can speak to a personal nurse adviser and obtain detailed information and guidance. This will include fact sheets, specialist leaflets, details of relevant charities and support groups.
The serious illnesses most usually covered are:
- Cancer
- Stroke
- Heart Attack
- Coronary Artery Bypass Graft
- Multiple Sclerosis
- Cognitive Disorders such as
Parkinson's Disease or Alzheimer's Disease
