Health Screening
for Individuals
The purpose of a healthscreening is principally early detection so that potential health problems can be identified and action taken at the earliest possible moment. For the individual concerned this provides valuable reassurance.
Types can vary but typically are as follows:
Basic (Known as Wellperson/Key Assessment).
- Usually short questionnaire and assessment of lifestyle.
- Brief examination by a Nurse
- Blood/Urine Profile
This is lowest cost option and typically used for mass screening of a large workforce to identify those having potential health problems and action taken:
Standard
- Usually a comprehensive questionnaire of medical history and lifestyle.
- Broader range of tests including resting ECG
- Physical examination/consultation with Doctor.
Sample Cost: £330.00
Premier
- As standard healthscreen but more indepth examination by Doctor and inclusion of exercise ECG.
Sample Cost: £460.00
In addition, chest x-rays, hearing test, specific female tests and Prostate Cancer tests can be included within any of the general screening types as required.
Principal providers are the main private hospital groups and services linked to pathology laboratories.
For individuals we can advise on suitable providers in own area and costs.
For employers we can advise on an effective healthscreening programme to meet your needs and undertake all arrangements including negotiations of best possible costs.
